Say what you will about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, but his entrepreneurial hustle knows no limits nor bounds. Having established successful entities in the music, fragrance, and reality arenas, the mogul has announced the launch of his own cable television network – Revolt.
The station’s press release bills Revolt as “a revolution in music on television, a place where artists and their viewers come together and engage with technology and social media”. Adding that “it’s a channel where new artists can share their work in the way it was meant to be: raw, uncut, and uncensored”.
Set to begin broadcasting next year, Revolt will air on Comcast. Diddy and the network’s investors are actively petitioning Time Warner and DirecTV to get on-board.
Whether they do or don’t, the channel (conceptually) is already ‘winning’. For, we’re sadly in an era where music channels don’t actually play music anymore. An era where such stations are so far removed from their roots. Kudos to Diddy for conjuring up something potentially game-changing.

He should have hired a person to present his ideas. He is not the most articulate. With that said, YEAH 3X for Diddy! I’m glad that an alternative voice is getting into the game. BET is white owned and the program presens the lack of interest in presenting anything signicant about Blacks. When it was back owned there was nothing like it. Now its just complete grabage. I hope his network resembles the old format of BET.
Good job P. diddy. They try hard not to respect you but you are the money maker Camel is just an ugly piece of Beyonce’s luggage! Thank God B.I.C. look like her mother!
