After earning a cool $702 million for Disney since its release last month, fresh news on the ‘The Avengers’ movie surfaced today.
For, in what we’d call an exciting development, Disney CEO Bob Iger has announced that work on its sequel has begun-and is reported to hit theaters in 2014, alongside ‘Thor 2′.
The announcement came during a conference call with Disney analysts to discuss the company’s quarterly earnings.
Set to star the flick’s original cast, reports indicate the movie‘s plot line may focus on cosmic villain Thanos, the character responsible for killing all of The Avengers in its ‘comic Universe’.
Fans can also expect ‘Avengers’ themed attractions to hit a number of Disney parks in the coming year, one year before the release of ‘Iron Man 3‘.
