Tonight, fans of Latin beauties Adrienne Bailon and Julissa Bermudez can can the pair take on The Big Apple on their hit show ‘Empire Girls’, only on the Style Network.
However, before the upbeat show airs at 9pm (ET), That Grape Juice had the pleasure of meeting the girls on Friday evening to discuss the inspirational series. A discussion, which the bulk of can be read here, also saw us quiz the women on another hit show you may have heard of.
Basketball Wives
On whether the show deserves to come under fire for scenes like the one below, Julissa revealed:
They deserve to come under fire.
I won’t lie and say I don’t watch it because it’s a guilty pleasure, but it’s uncomfortable to watch. It’s no longer fun to enjoyable because it’s so horrible- what are they really trying to represent?
They’re misrepresenting themselves.
On Evelyn Lozada‘s beef with former friend Jennifer Williams (reportedly axed from the series):
It’s really hard to see friends fight, but I hear Shaunie O’Neal is making an effort to turn the show into a positive place and that’s great.
At which point, her ‘Empire Girls’ co star Adrienne added:
Everything has a cause and effect, and what they’re doing causes a negative affect. There has to be a way to be tough without being…without being a bitch.

Adrienne has never been a groupie. You’d be surprised how much money she is worth from working with Disney as a Cheetah Girl. Yes she dated Rob Kardashian but she broke up with him and he’s still in love. Both these girls are classy and have a story to tell. I’d rather watch this then Tami and Evelyn try to cover up they’re ghetto with Louboutin and weaves.
