By way of her arrival on the ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’, Melissa Gorga has become one of the franchise’s more recognizable names, capitalizing on her long running feud with sister in law / original cast member Teresa Giudice.
This, coupled with her burgeoning singer career and marriage to Giudice’s younger brother Joe has seen the starlet billed as the fresher alternative to her nemesis, taking to a number of media outlets to weigh in on the family feud, played out on US screens each week on Bravo.
However, despite claims she plans to reconcile with her sister-in law, numerous reports seem to point in the other direction.
Reports, addressed by Teresa on last night’s show, which claim Melissa joined the series with sole purpose of destroying The Giudice brand, with the help of former ‘Housewife’ Danielle Staub.
Excerpt from ‘The Truth About Melissa Gorga‘ below:
Melissa and Joe tried for years to get Bravo to cast them on RHONJ (she stalked Bravo by sending ‘audition’ tapes, e-mails, and even spoke with producers and assistants in person) because they saw Teresa’s success and wanted it for themselves.
But Bravo rejected them because they thought they were a joke.
Melissa begged Danielle to film scenes with her — similar to the ones Melissa filmed in season 3 with her sisters and Kathy, where she fabricated lies and bitched about Teresa — but Danielle refused because she thought she was being setup.
As a last resort, Melissa and Joe made an audition tape promising Bravo that they would destroy Teresa (no matter how many lies they would have to tell to make that happen).
Bravo finally bit and cast them on season 3.
Maybe, because Bravo saw how incredibly upset Teresa was during reunion 2 when Danielle mentioned the stories Melissa told her about Teresa (all of which didn’t make the final cut), or maybe because Teresa injured Andy Cohen’s pride when she stood up in anger and shoved him during reunion 2 as she lunged toward Danielle because of things she was saying about her family.
Lies Melissa fed her to get onto the show.
While the above was initially panned as ‘fan fiction’ upon being published back in March, fans on Reality TV website ‘Reality Tea‘ began reassessing its validity following comments made by Giudice on last night’s episodes.
Comments, which revealed Staub did indeed admit to corresponding with Gorga and her husband before they signed onto the series, confirmed by the former ‘Wife‘ below:
@biggestfanbk @melissagorga 11/09 from Melissa Gorga“will you (DS) help me expose Teresa and Joe please? shall I continue ?
— danielle staub (@daniellestaub) August 8, 2011
@melissagorga be careful dear I saved all your lengthy emails and recorded your calls to me you sure you wanna lie ???
— danielle staub (@daniellestaub) August 8, 2011
While the above tweets were published last summer, they did not air on television until last night, prompting many to revisit ‘The Truth‘s sensational tale and petition Danielle to join the show for its ‘Season 4 Reunion‘ to clarify her explosive claims.
For if true, it would throw The Gorga’s story behind how they joined the show into complete disrepute, going some way to damage their otherwise ‘lily white’ brand, spearheaded by their seemingly passive approach to the ugly feud.
Peep scenes from the Season 2 below, which sees Staub taunt Giudice with information she now says was fed to her by Mrs.Gorga:
@daniellestaub and what’s worse was you got yelled at by Tre when it should have been obvious all along Mel was the one selling her out

@JordanMorris85 she did indeed tell me how else would I know
