Amidst speculation that one-time late night king Arsenio Hall was on course to reclaim his TV throne, news has surfaced that the comedian/actor/host will indeed be heading to screens near you.
The yet-titled return will mark almost a 20 year absence since Hall last reigned over late night TV (1989-1994). As many-a-80s baby knows, anybody who was somebody guested Arsenio’s show from Michael Jackson, Madonna and Whitney Houston to the humble beginnings of now-legends Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Janet Jackson.
If the show will be able to capture it’s former glory has yet to be seen. But, in a wave of 80s television revisions (see: Dallas, Hawaii 5-0, etc), CBS is guessing it’s worth a shot.
Here’s to Arsenio creating a whole new set of memories for this generation of entertainment lovers.
