After wowing fans in Lee Daniel‘s ‘Precious’ in 2009, Mariah Carey is heading back to the big screen.
Set to star in Lee Daniel‘s ‘The Butler‘ alongside Oprah Winfrey and Forest Whitaker, Carey is yet to confirm her place in the movie, but the Vulture explains:
Mariah Carey hasn’t made a movie since her well-received turn in Precious, but now she’s reunited with director Lee Daniels for his next film, the decades-spanning White House tale The Butler, which will star Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey.
No word yet on whom she’s playing, but as of today, most of the presidents and first ladies have been cast: Robin Williams and Melissa Leo will play the Eisenhowers, James Marsden and Minka Kelly the Kennedys, Liev Schreiber is LBJ, John Cusack is Nixon, and Alan Rickman and Jane Fonda will play the Reagans.
