December 2nd marks the 31st birthday of reigning pop princess Britney Spears. The ‘Lucky’ singer, who has made an indelible mark on pop culture during her decade and a half stint in the business, was once named Madonna‘s ‘heir apparent’ (to top pop monarchy).
But, while the verdict is out on if she will ever be crowned queen, one thing is certain – Spears has gifted TV viewers with a host of unforgettable performances. Yes, some may be unforgettable for the wrong reasons (see: 2007 VMA), but unforgettable nonetheless. In such, we wish to salute the days when Britney blazed stages on a regular and made the industry stand up and take notices. These, my friend, are the days before The Tinman was hired as her choreographer.
