As our friends at TMZ say, either autotune abuser Ke$ha is lying now or was lying then. For, this week saw her top 5 hit ‘Die Young’ yanked from radio play due to its insensitivity to the recent Sandy Hook tragedy (not for lyrical content, but its repeated chorus).
After learning of such, Ke$ha took to Twitter to say she “never agreed with the lyrics” and was forced to sing them before quickly retracting the statement and replacing it with a message claiming she understood why the song was removed from radio.
As her mom further incited questions about who forced the young songstress to chant the lyrics “die young” repeatedly, the lens was zoomed in on writing credits of the track – credits that feature Ke$ha as the song’s main contributor. A fact further driven home by this recently uncovered video of an interview conducted weeks before the tragedy where the ‘Blow’ beauty brags about the song. See the video above:
