Kanye West held a listening session for his eagerly anticipated ‘808’s and Heartbreak’ here in London this week. At the event, which was was attended by select media outlets, the ‘Love Lockdown’ rapper used Beyonce and Rihanna to illustrate a point, raising an interesting point himself in the process:After hearing listening to the album, Kanye took a Q&A session.
When asked about his single ‘Love Lockdown’, Kanye explains why he chose to make the single.
‘This is a wakeup call … people in music get comfortable … Rappers get comfortable’.
Kanye said this was the case with Beyonce.
‘Rihanna was the best thing to happen to Beyonce’, referring to Rihanna’s rise to stardom suggesting Beyonce had to set the musical bar higher.
Kanye believed that Beyonce did this with her new video ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’. He expressed his respect and love for it, while saying it was a concept that he never would have come up with. {Source}
Hmm. An interesting point, that will no doubt have Bouncy’s and Ms. Fenty’s stans squaring off – again LOL. Granted I agree Beyonce had to come differently this go around to re-affirm her place as the ‘top’ female in the industry (especially when considering Rihanna’s near 2 year dominance), I feel as though Bey was always gonna need to approach her 3rd album with a fresh concept irrespective of Rihanna. With success not being guaranteed in this current industry climate (just ask Usher and Mariah), churning out the same ol’, same ol’ would have been an own-goal IMO.

I don’t see Beyonce “upping” her game. I see her doing the same thing she’s always done;hollering and shaking her tail feather. I’m sorry but Beyonce just isn’t innovative. She’s a modern day Tina Turner,and that is a compliment in and of itself. But she has yet to rise above any of the legendary artist that came before her. Therefore,she is not iconic in my book. Nowhere near it. The fact that she’s being classified with Rihanna,a girl who has NO vocal prowess by her own industry peers is proof that Beyonce still has a long way to go before she can stand on her own (without DC3 to fall back on) as one of musics greatest. She’s a talented woman but she is not great. Her music may move my feet but it doesn’t move my soul. I am a stan for Kanye and I agree with him 100%. I also happen to slightly stan for Bee and I feel like every time Bee is due for a new album. She really steps it up and comes with a new sound or image. The material on B’Day was completely different from Dangerously In Love and I feel like the material on this new album will definitely be a step up from B’Day.
Rihanna on the other hand, has gained success on singles ALONE. That is not enough to stay relevant in this industry. She’s the “IT” girl for right now, but she has a long way to go before she can sit back and relax (because we know Def Jam’s been working her like a s**** for the past four years). Her first two albums and the singles were not the best so she changed her entire sound and conformed so she would be accepted. Not to mention, she got some of the best songwriters/producers writing for her because her first two albums were garbage and GGGB was garbage too, only the singles stood out. Rihanna is getting publicity because of what she’s wearing and who she’s dating right now. Nothing else. She needs to step her game up vocally and performance wise SERIOUSLY. Kanye does have a point though, because it makes people work harder to keep their spot in the game and keep their fans happy. You saw how the Graduation VS. Curtis deal turned out. 50 got way too comfortable and you see what happened to that fool.

As far as Rihanna goes, she does have good material, but her voice is not to up to par as it should be and that’s the most imoprtant thing if you’re a singer. Also, I don’t know why people are clueless as to why they’re constantly compared. It’s because they’re the “it” girls. I am a Beyonce fan..not a stan but I will say I have been a fan since Destiny’s child…All to say that this new album does not live up to standard..to me the Sasha Fierce alter ego is just a way of trying to attract interest. The Sasha Fierce music definetly sounds like Bday leftovers…there are a sew songs that I do which are tha ballads…Halo( which I heard months ago), Dissapear and Hello. 1-й ведущий. Уважаемые гости!
Наравне токмо личность входит в наш хата, он становится его хозяином.
2-й ведущий. Ведь наш землянка — это ваш мазанка!
1-й ведущий. Так позвольте же, уважаемые хозяева, познакомить вас с нашим домом.
2-й ведущий. Пред вами — цифры и факты о работе нашего Дома творчества.
Для перилах лестницы справа — табличка с цифрами … висят … красных и … желтых надувных шара.
1-й ведущий. В … году в Доме творчества было … кружков и … клубов сообразно интересам.
Первый ведущий показывает для шары, которые находятся справа.
2-й ведущий (показывая для самую большую связку шариков, расположенную слева). А теперь— у нас … студий,… клубов и ….
Подбегает женщина со связкой зеленых шаров и привязывает их к перилам.
2-й ведущий. …И в них работает … педагогов (показывая для один что привязанные шары), которых возглавляет директор Дома творчества … (ФИО). Вам слово.
Звучит приветственная речь директора Дома творчества. (Общие весть о педагогическом коллективе.)
2-й ведущий. Слово предоставляется заместителю директора Дома творчества … (ФИО).
Для фоне музыки преемник директора знакомит гостей со студиями, обращая их уважение для фотовыставку.
1-й ведущий. Изза это период у нас в Доме творчества для разных мероприятиях побывало…
Передовой ведущий развязывает тесемку на туго скатанном рулоне бумаги, укрепленном для перилах лестницы. Лента-рулон, разворачиваясь, летит вниз. Зрители видят, что лента плотно «изрисована» лицами людей,— получается ощущение гигантской массы «посетителей».
